History
Mark and Gary Rodgers incorporated Rodgers Brothers Inc. as a
full service investment firm in 1985. Prior to that, Mark and
Gary worked for A. E. Masten, a regional broker dealer with deep
roots in Western Pennsylvania. In 1985, a larger national firm
acquired A. E. Masten, and all local control and interest
evaporated. The ensuing changes witnessed by Mark and Gary lead
them to conclude that the interests of the investors were not
being properly served. The consolidation process was one of
promoting standardized recommendations for packaged products.
The founders of Rodgers Brothers felt
that financial success for investors could best be achieved
through the careful selection of investments that were
tailored to the needs of the individual. A thorough
understanding of the individual's financial goals blended with
the risk tolerance of the investor would serve to direct the
individualized product selection. It was this drive to serve
those clients who were seeking individualized wealth management
s that caused the Rodgers brothers to open their full service
investment firm. The focus on service to clients has remained
clear through the history of the firm.
Philosophy
Rodgers Brothers has several driving factors in its approach to
investments and its customers. We believe that the market is
extraordinarily complex and constantly changing. Our service
begins with continual study of both the market dynamics and the
individual companies that comprise the market. With an
overwhelming amount of market data readily available to the
public, the true value is found in the interpretation of the
data. Careful analysis and interpretation of the date can yield
the knowledge to direct investment decisions. Knowledge and
decision making will not succeed without the stamina to endure
difficult markets and stay focused on goals. The value of
Rodgers Brother's service is the definition of individual
investment goals, the maintenance of a focus on those goals, the
selection of investment products that will achieve the goals,
and the calm counsel that allows investors to stay with their
investment plan in spite of market variation. |
